The couple stayed in Washington, D.C., until 1965, upon which time Al joined the faculty at the UW-Madison School of Business. His daughter, Michele, was born shortly after this, in 1969. Throughout his 33 year career at UW-Madison, Al was the chair of the Management Department, founded The Bolz Center for Arts Administration, and launched the weekend Executive MBA Program as director.
