Carol completed her master?s and doctoral degrees in anthropology at the University of Chicago, eventually becoming a senior scientist at the Weismann Center within the University of Wisconsin where she worked in the biomedical field, becoming one of the pioneer researchers, studying brain neurophysiology. Her research has been extensively sited.
