UW-Madison chancellor warns Scott Walker’s cuts would mean layoffs, out-of-state tuition hikes

If the drastic cut in university funding Gov. Scott Walker will propose next week is approved by the Legislature, UW-Madison is looking at layoffs and tuition hikes for out-of-state students, Chancellor Rebecca Blank cautioned.
