A fair to remember

UW-Madison campus – Between 1905 and 1940 Arthur Peabody designed or oversaw the design of more than 60 campus buildings, first as university architect and then as state architect. His credits include some of the most beloved spots: the Field House, Memorial Union, Carillon Tower, Lakeshore Dorms, and many, many others. More than that, however, in his 1908 Master Plan he organized the design of buildings on campus, creating “design neighborhoods” that are again coming into fashion.
