The first of the lawn chairs arrive in Madison’s Rennebohm Park at 5:45 p.m., lined up in neat rows as spectators prepare for their weekly fix of musical Americana. On the nearby playground, kids holler; birds begin their evening chants in the trees. The sun becomes a golden spotlight in the western sky, and shortly after 7, out strolls Jim Latimer.
