(MADISON) The 9-11 attacks and the rapidly-globalizing economy have sparked a growing need for American students to learn foreign languages other than the traditional French, Spanish and German. With help from a U.S. Department of Education grant, a team of linguists at the University of Wisconsin-Madison have a plan to fill that need. (Second item.)
