City police spent nearly $100,000 more this year responding to crowds of Halloween revelers than last year.
The total cost for all law enforcement agencies was about $580,000 for the annual Halloween party. The Madison Police Department’s share of that was $349,000 for the weekend, according to a statement released by the department Wednesday.
