An effort to change the way Wisconsin licenses new lawyers received a unanimous denial Monday from the state Supreme Court.At issue was the diploma privilege, a practice unique to Wisconsin. It allows graduates of the state?s two law schools to become licensed attorneys without taking the state bar exam required of graduates from all other law schools who wish to join the State Bar of Wisconsin.
