UW-Madison is 9th best public university in nation

The University of Wisconsin-Madison made the top ten list for best public universities in the country in the U.S. News and World Report’s 2010 edition of America’s Best Colleges.

This is two notches down from last year, when UW-Madison ranked seventh on the same list.

U.S. News and World Report looks at selectivity, faculty resources, financial resources, graduation performance rates, and other criteria when creating the list.
