UW Provost Spear to retire in December
After a 24-year career at UW-Madison, Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Peter Spear announced Monday he will retire in December.
Spear, 60, said he considered pursuing other university opportunities ââ?¬â?Ã? such as a university presidency ââ?¬â?Ã? before deciding to stick to his long-time goal of retiring while still young and healthy enough to enjoy his spare time.
