UW-Madison is named the nation’s top research university in a new college guide that tries to measure higher education’s contributions to society.
UW-Madison was ranked 12th overall by the guide among 500 public and private colleges and universities. The top three finishers, the survey said, were MIT, UCLA and the University of California at Berkeley.
