Weather does a number on UW buildings

Floors were flooded and walls were wet, but luckily for UW-Madison, science will progress unimpeded by nature this morning despite several campus buildings suffering weather-related damage over the weekend.

According to John Harrod of the UW Physical Plant, below-zero temperatures over the weekend caused several burst pipes and frozen heating coils in the genetics, biotechnology and biochemistry buildings on campus.
