When Wisconsin celebrated its sesquicentennial, state officials decided it would be nice if Native Americans were part of the celebration.
There was only one problem.
Well, two problems, really.
First of all, the state asked about including Native Americans as an afterthought.
And Native Americans were not at all sure they wanted to be included.
