The bipartisan Wisconsin Elections Commission is warning voters that they shouldn’t buy into prediction markets like Kalshi or Polymarket on the results of a Wisconsin election and then vote in that same race.
That’s because voters could be violating a decades-old Wisconsin statute that carries felony-level consequences – though it doesn’t appear the state has recently enforced it or proactively plans to hunt down lawbreakers.
