Dr. Jessica Caldwell, multi-principal investigator of the Wisconsin Registry for Alzheimer’s Prevention at UW–Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, said the results carry implications for both research and patient care.
“This finding is exciting for the research community as well as the medical community,” Caldwell said. “It isn’t just a marker of the protein, it’s a marker of people who are potentially likely to go on to have cognitive problems.”
