Girls ages 12 to 18 got a hands-on look at what it takes to get a plane off the ground Saturday during Girls in Aviation Day at Morey Airplane Company in Middleton.
The Women in Aviation International Four Lakes Chapter hosted the free event, where participants moved through stations focused on weather, flight planning, preflight checks, cockpit decision-making and other aspects of aviation.
