UW-Madison students living in the dorms who plan to bring a guest to stay with them over Halloween weekend will face a sizeable fee.
The university will charge students $100 to register a friend to stay with them in their dorm from Oct. 30 through Nov. 1, said housing spokesperson Brendon Dybdahl in an email. UW-Madison implemented the fee last fall after students previously faced a stricter no-guest policy during “Halloweekend.”
The weekend is notorious for being a major party weekend in most U.S. college cities.
