How Madison struck deals to build 212 lower-cost student beds

Two years later, officials say the incentive has added 212 lower-cost beds for University of Wisconsin-Madison students, and by fall next year, a new complex at Broom and West Johnson streets will add another 165 beds. Three more projects in the pipeline could then bring Madison’s total of lower-cost student beds to 645 by fall 2029.
