UW Health announced the East Madison Hospital will open a $140 million expansion on Nov. 2.
The expansion will help the hospital go from 14 to 20 operating rooms, increase the surgical prep and recovery bay capacity from 23 to 60 and expand inpatient bed capacity from 84 to 98, UW Health explained.
The project will add 120,000 square feet to the hospital.
UW Health explained the expansion is to help meet growing demand.
