UW-Madison researchers are calling the Trump administration’s plan to rewrite the rules for awarding and managing federal grants “catastrophic” and “a dagger to the heart of science.”
Those are among a flood of nearly 500,000 public comments from researchers and higher education groups over the last few months, overwhelmingly opposing the Office of Management and Budget’s proposal released in late May.
