The fundraiser that brings a sea of plastic pink flamingos to UW-Madison’s Bascom Hill has set a record for the second consecutive year, the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association announced Friday.
Fill the Hill, the foundation and alumni group’s fundraiser, brought in a preliminary total of $835,059 from 5,366 gifts during its 14th year. Calls for donations started Thursday and ended Friday at 5 p.m.
