Researchers at the UW School of Pharmacy and School of Nursing are developing visual communication tools to help Hmong patients and caregivers describe their pain to providers. The pain assessment information visualization (InfoViz) tool looks to address the cultural barriers in descriptions of pain used by Hmong patients.
