he Wisconsin Badgers are facing off against the rest of the Big Ten in a competition that helps save lives, rather than add points to a scoreboard.
The competition is called “We Give Blood” and it comes at a time when the need is dire, as the American Red Cross has declared its second-ever national blood crisis.
Now through Dec. 4, students, alumni and Badger fans can donate blood and credit the Big 10 school of their choice.
The winning school receives a $1 million grant from the health care company, Abbott.
